AISC Certification
Since 2001, Area has been a certified steel erector under the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certification criteria.
The AISC certification programs set the quality and safety standards for the structural steel industry and are the most recognized national certification programs for the industry. Our programs encompass safety and quality management systems, including all functions of structural steel erection: receipt of contract, project planning, material receipt, hoisting, alignment, final connection (bolting and welding), safety, and project records.

PCI Certification
Area is a Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) certified erector for both architectural (A) and complex structures (S2).
The PCI-certified erector program requires on-site field audits of our crews twice per year as well as an annual third-party office audit of our project files. The detailed audit process ensures that preplanning and documentation are in place before, during, and after precast erection for all aspects of our work.
Topics outlined in the PCI Erector Manual include safety, preconstruction planning, practices and procedures, equipment, tolerances, and quality control. Each area is reviewed during the audit process.
